Flower Goddess began as a sketch and blossomed into much more (see what I did there??!?! lol). The Goddess and her crown of flowers interwoven with her vine-like locs were illustrated first.
 
The way the flowers were done as a way for me to practice drawing and shading in tattoos, but also with elements of geometric abstract art. While I was painting her, I was also  teaching my students about Alma Thomas, and pointillism. All of these things going on in my life at once inspired the background and its many many brush stroke patterns.
